PHAINOMENA

JOURNAL OF PHENOMENOLOGY AND HERMENEUTICS

ISSN: 1318-3362
e-ISSN: 2232-6650

The human condition at the beginning of the third millennium asks for a renewed reflection in the field of philosophy as much as in the fields of culture, art, religion and science. The Phainomena journal lays a foundation for a new humanistic discussion from the perspective of phenomenology and hermeneutics.

The journal Phainomena was the first specialized journal for the phenomenological and hermeneutic philosophy in Middle and East Europe after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Its main role is still to get together philosophers from this geographical area, and at the same time, in collaboration with the philosophers from North and South America, East and South Asia, Japan and China as well as Africa, open up global perspectives of the phenomenological and hermeneutic philosophy.

The articles and translations published in the journal are mostly those from the fields of phenomenology, hermeneutics, social hermeneutics, philosophy of religion, theory of science, philosophy of art, history of philosophy and philosophy of culture. Books for review should be addressed to the Editorial Office.

Published quarterly.
